In my leisurely Saturday morning scroll through blogs, I landed on Jennifer Causey’s The Makers, where I clicked through the work of Ariele Alasko and promptly fell in love with her designs. She’s incredible! A California native, she attended art school at Pratt and is a current Brooklyn resident, but spent time in Monterey building her father’s restaurant, Il Vecchio, from scratch. Check out some photos of the space (via Alasko’s blog Brooklyn to West):
And see that woodwork in the photo above? Ariele makes similarly-patterned tables with reclaimed wood:
These are some of my favorites (via Brooklyn to West):
Check out more of her tables — they really are stunning.
And to add to her skills, Ariele Alasko also makes beautiful cheese boards.
aaaand, headboards (seriously, she’s talented):
If by now you’re as impressed as I am with her designs, check out more of her work and process on her instagram, blog, and take a sneak peek of her home (where, of course, she has built many of the furnishings).
