Eat your easter chocolate, guilt free

A study just published in the European Heart Journal has great news for all of us who love to eat chocolate around Easter — it can actually help prevent heart disease and stroke! Yesssss.

Okay, but here’s the other important thing to keep in mind: moderation. You should only eat small amounts of chocolate without increasing your calorie intake and while still eating those other important healthy foods.

Researchers believe that flavanols in cocoa may be the main benefit behind lower blood pressure and a overall healthy heart.

So here’s to more chocolate and a happy Easter for those of you celebrating today.
