Jacob Kulin’s reclaimed wood furniture

Arched Cedar II (cedar, acrylic & oxidized silver leaf)

Local artist Jacob Kulin is well known for his jewelry and beautiful sculptures like the one above, but today I’m excited to tell you about some of his furniture designs. He uses different reclaimed woods, metals and glass to create designs that he says are inspired by 1950s and 60s Scandinavian design. I love the way they juxtapose such different materials.

Console Table (glass, branches, oak, steel)

In an article from an issue of Design New England, Jacob said,

I’m interested in the containment of nature’s form . . . trying to take an outside element, bring it indoors and without losing its identity, elevate the simplicity of it.

I think he’s captured this quite well.

    High,
I’m interested in purchasing the glass/white oak console table. What is the price for that item?
