Projects by Paul Octavious

March 29, 2010

I stumbled across the work of photographer Paul Octavious on Joanna Goddard’s blog, A Cup of Jo, and instantly was drawn in. I particularly love his project entitled Same Hill Different Day, which is a series of photographs taken over 2 years that show the same hill.

I really like this series because it seems so fitting with spring approaching. As seasons change, it’s amazing to watch landscapes completely transform. On a nice spring day in Boston, so many people come out to enjoy the flowers, the budding trees, the warm air . . . I feel like it’s what makes winter worth it. I thought Paul’s photos completely capture that change so here are a few photos (see the whole series on his website):

My other favorite project is entitled The Things I Saw from JFK ✈ SFO . . . beautiful landscapes from the air.

Hope you enjoyed your Monday!
