Coffee Filter Decorations

October 22, 2009

Last night, I attended an event to promote fair trade at one of my favorite venues in Boston, the Artists for Humanity Epicenter, a fantastic LEED Platinum building. For the event, they had some of Boston’s chefs competing in a top-chef like cook off in the center of the room, with tables and food stations set up around the edges.

One of the coolest decorations they had was a center piece over the chefs. It was made of bundles of coffee filters, hinged together to create spheres. I loved the idea and thought it was an inspired way to add some fun, cheap, and theme-appropriate decorations to the otherwise very industrial space.

love the coffe filter spheres! I was going to use some filters to make paper flower decorations at a party…but now I think I like this idea better 🙂
